The company's success story began in 1892 with the foundation of the furniture removal company Peter Niesen. Following the acquisition of other removal companies in Cologne, Bergisch-Gladbach and Bonn, the business soon developed into the Niesen Group.

Specialisation and storage

Over the years, the company has undergone numerous developments and has always kept up-to-date with innovations and technical progress.
Today, Niesen operates all over the globe and has gained an excellent reputation as a specialist in the field of removals and art transportation.
One particularly important field is the storage of goods on 20,000 square metres of covered hall space. Apart from an air-conditioned storage hall, which is needed to preserve the value of sensitive works of art and pianos, for example, the company has a high-rack store and a container hall with craneway system.
To guarantee customers maximum security, all halls are fitted with theft and fire alarm systems.

As founding member and partner of Deutsche Möbelspedition, which embraces over 120 medium-sized furniture removal companies, Niesen is able to draw on a network of qualified partners throughout the country and therefore offer customers a consistent standard of service.

Niesen also operates in other European countries through its partnership with EMG and cooperates overseas with DMS-International.

Thanks to this broad cooperation basis, Niesen is in a position to offer full-service solutions: with the help of our sophisticated logistic system, the customer is provided with a high-quality, time-saving solution package by just one contact partner.

We look after everything from office removals, complete company relocations to machine and EDP transportation.

Our fleet of vehicles

Our fleet consists of no fewer than 45 company-owned trucks with state-of-the-art driver's cabs. Our staff's comfort is also our concern.
We also have 11 trailers and a variety of transporters, 7.5 ton trucks and crane vehicles. To transport 20’ steel containers or even swap bodies, all necessary equipment is available from forklift trucks, trolleys, outdoor lifts to rolling trucks.

This is why we work exclusively with qualified staff who we promote on a regular basis through training programmes and further training courses. Only in this way can we optimally satisfy the needs of our customers in all areas.

In the special field of overseas transportation, we appoint only select and experienced staff who are familiar with the relevant packing requirements.
